She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wallace Martin, Vernon Hill; sons, Willard Martin, Washington, N.C., and Richard Martin, Raleigh, N.C.; daughter, Carolyn Martin, Baton Rouge; brothers, Thaddeus Bryson, Fletcher, N.C., and Frederick Bryson, Bryson City, N.C., and Montreal; sister, Gail Elliott, Bryson City; grandsons, David Furr, New York, Jeremy Martin and Michael Martin, both of Wilmington, N.C.; and granddaughter, Katherine Martin, Raleigh.
The family will receive friends at Crisp Funeral Home, Bryson City. The family will gather for a graveside ceremony at Swain Memorial Park, Bryson City.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made in Ann's memory to The Nature Conservancy, national or state organizations, or Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
