KINGSVILLE — Joanna E. Brown, age 97, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died on Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 2014, at the Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kingsville, Ohio.
Born in 1916, she was the daughter of John and Ernesta (DeAngelo) Massi. On July 8, 1930, she married Piorino Brown in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Joe (Joanne) Brown and Frank (Charlotte) Brown; daughter, Tina (Russell) Stainfield; and grandchildren, Sean Brown and Elizabeth (Pius) Onzima.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Piorino Brown; son, Mark Steven Brown; brother, Steve Massi; and sister, Mary Lombardo.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14th, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Saint Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Father Raymond Thomas as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula.
Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish.
