Mrs. Mary Ann Adam, wife of David Adam, died Tuesday night at their home about four miles east of Neosho on Granby road. She underwent an operation for the removal of cancer last fall and apparently had recovered but return of the disease quickly took her away. Deceased was born at Bannockburn, Scotland, December 11, 1869 and was married there to David Adam in 1896. Mr. and Mrs. Adam came to American immediately after their marriage and located at Crete, Illinois, where they lived for six years. They went back to Scotland in 1902 and returned to America in 1914, buying and locating on the J.W. West farm east of Neosho where they have since lived. Surviving Mrs. Adam are her husband and four children: Nan, Andrew, Willie and Elizabeth Adam.
Mrs. Adam was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church in Neosho, conducted by Dr. Wm. Cady
