Dorthia Mabel (Northcott) Budy was botn on April 7, 1917 in Madison, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Samuel Jay Northcott and Nola Mabel (Douglas) Northcott. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She died on January 5, 2003. She was 85 years old.

Dorothia was a member of the Metropolitan Southern Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Saint Luke's School of Nursing and had worked for Saint Luke's, Wyandotte County Infirmary, and Providence Hospital. She retired in 1978.

Dorthia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward C Budy. Survivors include a son, one daughter, one brother, a sister, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
