Esther Marie Allan - age 85 passed away peacefully at her home in Farwell on Monday, June 8, 2009.
Services for Esther will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 1:00 PM, at the Campbell - Stocking Family Funeral Home, Farwell. Pastor Michael Waugh will officiate with burial following in Surrey Township Cemetery.
Esther was born on March 23, 1924 in Caledonia, MI the daughter of Stanley and Bertha (Miller) Peel. She married Orville Allan on December 18, 1942 in Evart, MI.
She was a member of the Farwell Church of Christ. She loved gardening, crocheting, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her many grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Orville; one son Douglas Allan and wife Cheryl of Farwell; two daughters, Dolores and husband Barry VanBuskirk of Farwell; Darla and husband Don Rogers of Kentwood; seven grandchildren, Sara Louch, Suzanne Tilmann; DeAnn Eichhorn, Trev VanBuskirk, Bryce VanBuskirk, Jeremy Rogers and Nicole Rogers; two step grandchildren, Patti Ruckle and Scott Louch; eight great grandchildren, from ages seven months to 14 years.
