Chas. Smith, residing on the south side of town, died at noon Saturday after several weeks sickness from acute blood poisoning; the funeral was held Monday afternoon under the auspices of Rock Valley camp M. W. A.

Rev. C. E. Hummer of Salix, former Methodist minister at this place, was in town Monday of last week, to conduct the services at the funeral of Chas. M. Smith; he came at the invitation of the Woodmen, being a member of Rock Valley camp.
