Rose was married 1st about 1908 to Morris Allison Whiteley (1890–1930), and he was the son of Jesse Allison Whitely (1864–1939) and Parlee Lela (Jones) Whitely (1867–1948). She was married 2nd to Vernon Chester "V C" Pelton (1905–1988), the son of John Bilby Pelton (1864–1930) and Elizabeth Gardner "Lizzie" (Hagan) Pelton (1873–1924).
Living at 1215 North 2nd Street, Rose was 44 years old and married when she died on June 28, 1936 of cervical cancer at Protestant Hospital.
Survivors included her husband Vernon C Pelton, daughters Mrs Joseph B Spence in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Mrs James Edgar Smith and sons George M Whitely and Thomas Whitely, all of Nashville and brother William Taylor at Texarkana, Texas.
Funeral Services were held on June 29th at M S Combs & Company Funeral Home, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
