Charlotte Campbell VanBuskirk was born on 11 Jan 1891 in Melvern Square, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was a daughter of Edward Freeman VanBuskirk and Lilla Florence Neily.

Charlotte married Hallett Clifford Armstrong, son of Manning Edward Armstrong and Augusta Whitman Banks, and widower of Seffie Inez Eaton, on 26 Oct 1921 in Melvern Square. They were united by license at the bride's home in a Baptist ceremony performed by Rev. Harry Puddington in the presence of witnesses D. M. Outhit and John G. [Maslin?], both of Melvern Square. At the time, Hallett was a 55-year-old North Kingston widower making his living as a farmer. Charlotte, 30 years of age and single, was a resident of Melvern Square.

She was widowed, at age 46, on 27 May 1937 by the death of Hallett. They had been married for 15 years.

Charlotte died, at age 75, on 30 Jul 1966 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She had been a resident of Middleton for some 14 years. Dr. H. E. Kelley of Middleton attributed cause of death to a coronary thrombosis and a myocardial infarction. The informant for the death registration was Charlotte's sister, Mrs. A. T. Marshall of Middleton.

Undertaker Warren T. Roop was entrusted with final arrangements and Charlotte was laid to rest on 1 Aug 1967 in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
