Martina "Teena" M. Weigel Alworth passed away at the age 82. She was born to Michael and Catherine Reidel Weigel. Teena had been a Gabbs resident since 1952, coming from Fallon. She was a homemaker, lefetime member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 3677, member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gabbs, and was known for her many talents as a seamstress and sewing of comforters. She is survived by her daughters and son's-in-law, Pat (Wayne) Whitten of Fallon, Frances (Kelly) Hanifen of Gabbs, and Gail (Joe) Carter of Carson City; son, Jim (Penny) Alworth of Ely, Nev.; sister, Martha Schreuder of Billings, Mont.; brother, Daniel Weigel of Pasco, Wash.; grandchildren, Tony (Karen) Whitten, Kelli and James Hanifen, Amy (Corey)Hendrickson, and Leslie Alworth; great-grandchildren, Kenna Whitten, Derek Whitten, Cody and Martina Day, and Tyler, Paul, Madison and Morgan Hendrickson; her special niece, "Angel" Anna Forsberg; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sandy Bentz Woodrum. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ed Alworth, in 2001 and numerous brothers and sisters.
