Mrs. Byron Cole died at her home in Watrousville Sunday, May 1, [1927] after an illness of two weeks of heart trouble.
She was born June 2, 1855 in Virginia and came to Tuscola County, settling near Watrousville in 1860. She was married to Byron Cole 53 years ago, and the husband and two sons survive. The sons are Claude and Maurice Cole, both of Watrousville. One son, Howard Cole, died five years ago.
She also leaves five grandchildren, one brother, Walter York of Oklahoma, two sisters, Mrs. Nelson Fairman of Denton, Texas, and Mrs. Clara Miller of Oregon. Mrs. Fairman was present for te funeral services.
Mrs. Cole had been a member of the Methodist church for many years, and Rev. Halgooyan of Reese, her pastor, fficiated at the funeral which was held Tuesday at the home in Watrousville. Lee Huston directed the funeral, and burial was made in Caro cemetery.
