The former Hulda Voigt was born May 31, 1887, in the Town of Meeme, daughter of John and Johanna Paul Voigt.
She attended district schools.
She married Gustave Matznick on June 29, 1905, in Hilbert. The couple lived in the Town of Schleswig, where they operated a cheese factory for 40 years. He died in 1966.
Survivors are a son, Ralph, Route 1, Kiel; a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Christel of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Humer and Mrs. Lydia Frauernhoffer, both of Highland Park, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Reverend John Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
