Mr. Addington, son of the late Andrew W. and Grace (Jenkins) Addington, was born July 5, 1933, in Gonzales, Texas. He worked in the automobile industry and enjoyed NASCAR, water skiing and making parasails. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean War from May 8, 1953 – May 4, 1955. Mr. Addington was of the Methodist faith.
He was married to Genelle (Pulliam) on June 22, 1979, in Lytle, Texas. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Bobbi LaCosse of Austin, Texas; two step-children, Stephen Cullison ,Christy (Jerry) Young both of Naylor, one nephew Ben Pulliam, of Naylor and one niece Jolene Ryan of Alexandria, Virginia, both of whom he raised; six grandchildren, Autumn Aldrich, Melody Aldrich, Carrie Cullison, Rebecca Young, Haley Pullin and Mark Young; and one great-grandchild, Cade Carnright; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Addington was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jenelle Coffey and Arneal Addington.
Mr. Addington will be interred in the Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
