Mrs. Jeannine Bays Allison was born to Katy and Felix Bays in Wortham, Texas, on Dec. 26, 1928, and died May 23, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and our Daddy, Kyler Allison much too early on February 23, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Katy and Felix, and so many beloved relatives too numerous to mention. She survived a bout of cancer in October of 2002 and had over 4 good years of feeling good and enjoying life before it recently returned to take her home to our Lord. She never lost her spunkiness, her forthright attitude, her interest in current events, or her strong personality. She faced her remaining time with a joyful faith that gave her peace, which she spread to all who loved and took care of her. Amidst some tears of sadness we experienced many joyful moments and many laughs.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Lee and Sue Allison, Gene and Terry Allison, and Kay and Kelly Caughron. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan and his wife, Chelli, Danielle and Amy.

The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to her doctors, the staff at Denton Presbyterian Hospital, Anne's Haven Visiting Nurses Association, and Ray of Sunshine Health Care.

A memorial service will be held in the Cole Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S. Locust, Denton, TX, 76201 on Wednesday, May 30 at 10 a.m., officiated by Associated Pastor Lisa Marshall, and Marjorie Hamilton Scott, Chaplain for Anne's Haven Visiting Nurses Association.

The family will receive friends with a small reception in the church after the service. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, 1201 S. Main St., McAllen, Texas, 78501, Saturday, June 2, at 10 a.m. where she will be laid to her earthly rest next to her husband.

Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Denton or to a charity of your choice. Kreidler Funeral Home, Inc. of McAllen is in charge of arrangements.
