Ruth was the daughter of Joseph Frank and Josephine Katherine (Fleck) Mestemaker. She passed away at Bethany Lutheran Village at the age of 93. She was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.
Ruth is survived by daughters Carolyn (Richard) Barthel Clark, Janet (Joseph) Moore, Maryann (Joseph) Barr, and Betty Jane (Kent) Sproat; sons John (Rene) Duncan, and Richard (Ellen) Duncan; a sister, Jane (Bill) Topp; a brother, Thomas Mestemaker; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Emanuel Duncan, who passed away January 8, 1993; her parents; and a granddaughter, Suzanne E. (Sproat) Treadway.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Ruth on April 21, 2012, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Helenwood, Tennessee.
