HOWARD BAME
Funeral services for Howard Bame were Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Smith Funeral Home in Green River. Services were conducted by Bishop Robert C. Christopherson of the Green River LDS Fourth Ward. Burial was in the Manila, Utah Cemetery.
Bame, 55, of Green River died Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs of a lengthy illness.
He was born March 28, 1930 in Lindon, Utah, a son of Cecil John and Ruth Holden Bame. He married Calla Rose Anson on Aug. 28, 1950 in Vernal, Utah.
He lived his early years in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He moved to Manila, Utah in 1949 and lived there until he moved to Granger in 1979. For the past few months, he lived in Green River. He worked in construction and had also worked for the Wyoming Highway Department as a maintenance worker. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
He is survived by his wife of Green River; two sons, Dale Bame, Green River and Denis Bame, Granger; eight sisters, Mrs. Sheldon (Pauline) Persson, Orem, Utah, Marie Comen, Parowan, Utah, Mrs. Cecile Curtis, Springville, Utah, Mrs. Vone (Glenda) Mitchell, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Mrs. John (Betty) Hidey, Upland, Calif., Lorraine Ryan, Covina, Calif., Karen Bame, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Carl (Carol) Olsen, Mesa, Ariz. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
