Harry E. Altemus, 50, of 134 Nevin Terrace, died today at 6 a.m. in Easton Hospital after a long illness. He was admitted last Sunday.
Mr. Altemus was born in Easton, a son of the late George and Ellen Rinker Altemus. A lifelong resident of this city, he had been employed about the last two years as a laborer for the Wagner Construction Co. currently working on the Route 22 bypass here. In former years he worked in various silk mills, and also for the former Chemical Manufacturing Co., Easton.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
