CARTER, M. L. CARTER dies August 30, 1969
Marion Lee Carter Sr., 62, RR 2, died Saturday morning at St. John Hospital.
Mr. Carter was born Aug. 7, 1907, in Linsey, Okla., a son of Morris and Mary Carter.
He was married here to Martha Shoner (Schonherr) April 18, 1932.
He was a five-year Navy veteran and for the past 28 years had been a nursing assistant at the VA Center Hospital.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Martha L. Carter, of the home; a son, Marion L. Carter Jr., with the Navy; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Lou Flanders, 908 N. 9th, and Miss Marjorie Carter, Zocks Trailer Court; six sisters, Mrs. Opal Ehart, Easton; Mrs. Madge Driscoll, 1217 Randolph; Mrs. Waletta Kempt, Warren, Or.; Mrs. Drella Rush Huey, Panama City, Fla., and Mrs. Evelyn Hill and Miss Margaret Alice Carter, both of Lompoc, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Time and place of the funeral will be announced by the Larkin Funeral Home.

CARTER SERVICE
Funeral for Marion Lee Carter Sr. will be Thursday at 10;15 a.m. at the Larkin Funeral Home. Chaplain Archel Meredith of the VA Center will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be in the Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
