He was born Dec. 25, 1919 at Circleville, the son of Arthur and Gladys Utterback Anderson. He was a farmer, stockman and a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #130, a member and organizer of the Kansas Prairie Pickers.
He married Geneva B. Meier June, 1940 at Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Anderson, Holton and Bill Anderson, Topeka; a daughter, Linda Mannell, Holton; two brothers, Wilbur "Rocky" Anderson, Holton, Lawrence Anderson, Linconlton, N.C.; two sisters, Flo Faunce, Denison and Marjorie Meyle-Parker, Holton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Anderson; a sister, Isable Parrott; and two great grandsons.
Services were 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial was at Holton Cemetery.
