MICHALIK, LOUISE
Louise Tidwell Wicklatz Michalik, 95, of Canton, GA peacefully passed away October 12, 2012 at Emeritus at Riverstone. She was born January 23, 1917 in Pulaski, TN. During WWII Louise moved to Chicago to take part in the armaments industry.[She first married Casimir N. "Casey" Wicklatz who died at an early age.] Following the war, she met and married returning veteran Edward beginning a lifelong devotion for each of them. They later moved to Willow Springs, IL where Louise worked at the Willowbrook Ballroom and retired from Electra Motive Division of General Motors. Louise exercised her skills as a master gardener, acclaimed cook and seamstress providing many memories for family and friends while entertaining. Edward and Louise celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during their retirement in Mountain Home, AR before moving to Canton to live with daughter, Carol. Louise was a devout Catholic. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her Husband- Edward J. Michalik and Son- Michael J. Wicklatz. She is survived by her Daughter: Carol & Don Moore- Canton, GA; Son: Ronald Wicklatz- Chicago, IL; Brother: Sam W. Tidwell-Pulaski, TN; Grandchildren: Eric, Ron Jr., Michelle, Edward, & Michael Wicklatz; 7 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; & Several Nieces & Nephews.
