Winnie Mae Welch Bailey, 95 of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 14, 1917, to Onie W. and Mae Williams Welch.

She was an exceptional mother, wife and lady. A life of love, caring and devotion was all that truly mattered in her earthly journey. She lived her life in simplicity and appreciation. She leaves us with the greatest gift of all … the memory of a love that is everlasting.

Winnie is survived by daughters, Annette Bailey Brown and husband, I.J. of Georgetown; Beverly Bailey Vinklarek and husband, Robert of Angleton; grandchildren, Sherry Brown of Austin; Debra Brown of Georgetown; Karen Vinklarek Gresham and husband, Mark of Lake Jackson; and Jeff Vinklarek and wife, Melanie of Conroe; great-grandchildren, Rachel Gresham, Kyle Vinklarek, Kate Vinklarek, Kolton Vinklarek and Bailey Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Weldon Franklin Bailey.

A private funeral service was held. Family requests donations in memory of Winnie Bailey to First United Methodist Church of Sweeny to which she was a lifelong member, 207 E. 1st St. Sweeny, Texas 77480. Services are under the direction of Baker Funeral Home.
