Thomas Plant, his mother Jane Neville Plant, sisters Mary Jane and Alice left Liverpool 3 May 1906 aboard the Tunisian and arrived in Canada on 12 May 1906. His two brothers, George Plant and Ernest William Plant came to Canada in 1907.
Thomas Plant and Vera Elma King met in Saskatchewan when she was teaching school at Edmund, Saskatchewan. They were married on 21 Mar 1923 at Havre, Hill, Montana USA.

A pioneer of Bracken district passed away in Climax hospital on Saturday, January 22, in the person of Thomas Plant, aged 57 years. Deceased had been in poor health for some and death climaxed a final illness.
Funeral services were held in Bracken United church Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in Bracken cemetery. Rev J L Houey conducted the services.
Mr Plant is survived by his wife; two sons, Dwain and Charles; one daughter, Rhonda; a daughter in law Noel; and his aged mother in law, Mrs Rhoda King, all living at home. He leaves two brothers, William of Kincaid, and George of Bracken.
