He was the loving husband of Celia Ann [BILLIG-She was born in Kelayres, PA-Schuylkill County] and devoted father of Denette.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was at the Bikini Atoll - Operation Crossroads when they tested the H Bomb.
Forchey suffered burns on over 90% of his body when a hot water heater exploded in a home accident on July 17th 1952, on Buhr Street in Detroit, Mi. His final days were spent in Holy Cross Hospital, Detroit, Mi. until he was transferred to Veteran's Hospital in Allen Park, Mi. where he passed away from his injuries on the 10th of September.
