Jimmy Thresher, age 68, of Pearcy, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was born on July 6, 1942, at Pine Valley, Oklahoma, the son of D. H. Thresher and Eva Davis Thresher. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pauline and Jeanette.

He was a much beloved husband, father and "papaw" and friend to all that know him.

Jimmy will be loved and remembered by his wife, F. Annette "Ann" Moore Thresher of Pearcy; his two sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Karen Thresher, of Pearcy and Jason Thresher of Malvern; seven grandchildren, Deanna, Lyle, Kara, Faith, Isabella, Wyatt and Gabriel; one great-grandson, Josh; Jimmy's brothers and sisters, Bonnie, John, Catherine, Bill, Fred, Mary, Joyce, Grace and Paul. Brother and Sister-In-Law Cleve & Kathy Moore, Sister-In-Law Bonnie Sue Moore Robbins, And his very special friend and Mother-In-Law Bonnie Morris Vince.

Jimmy left high school when he was 17 to help support his family. He returned two years later to finish and graduate at 21 years old. He then started to work for Derrick Saw Mills in the maintenance field. Jimmy continued to work in Hydraulic Maintenance Field for the next 30+ years, at Harvey Metal, Weber Metal, Featherlite and other Aluminum forging plants. At times amazing Engineers and Equipment designers with he knowledge of Hydraulic. When Jimmy told you how to do, fix or repair you got the best information there was.

Graveside services were Saturday, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Sunshine, Bro. Jerry Stewart officiated. Services were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
