Despina was the daughter of Emanuel Panagiotou and Cleopatra Karagiane. About 1949 she married Edgar T. Bonham and they had five children: Edgar, Chris, Constance (Patra), Daniel and David. She was a retired translator for the American Printing House for the Blind. Despina died at the age of 76.
