Millie Hibbs Moore, daughter of Nancy Conaway and Peter Hibbs, was born in West Virginia, Nov. 8, 1861 and left this life March 26, 1941, at the advanced age of 79 years, 4 mo., and 18 days. Accompanied by her parents she came to Iowa at the age of three, settling on a farm near Seymour. In 1882 she was united in marriage to Albert Moore at Jerome and since then she resided in Jerome and vicinity. This holy union was blessed with nine children: James Alvin of Mystic, Orrie Boringe of Centerville, Charles of Oregon, George of Plano, Elsie Wakefield of Mystic, Carley, who died in infancy, Arch of Kansas City, Bessie Blair of Mystic, and Frank of Des Moines.
Mr. Moore passed away seventeen years ago, and 2 brothers also preceded her in death.
Left to mourn her death, beside the children already mentioned, are two brothers Luther of Seymour and Newton of Oskaloosa; two sisters, Mrs. John Hohl of Mystic, and Mrs. George Moore of Centerville; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moore spent practically all her life since marriage in the vicinity of Plano and Jerome, where she made a wide circle of friends who are indeed saddened by her departure.
By her death the Methodist church at Jerome loses one of its oldest and most beloved members.
