Nettleton – Bobbie Jean Capps Coggin, 76, died May 19, 2010, at Oak Tree Plantation in Amory after an extended illness. She was born May 10, 1934, in Itawamba County to Felix Jackson and Vera Alderson Capps. She was a lifelong resident of the Nettleton area. She worked in the garment industry and at nursing homes until she retired. She was a member of Temple Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching football on television. She married Andy David "Junior" Coggin on July 21, 1952. She loved her caregivers, her son, Nickey, and Sandra and Beverly.

Services were May 21 at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with burial in New Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors included one son, Nickey David Coggin of Nettleton; two sisters, Virginia Gilmore of Nettleton and another sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Andy David "Junior" Coggin on Feb. 27, 2006; two brothers, Billy Capps and Jimmy Capps; a half sister, Geneva Howard.
