NETTLETON – Andy David Coggin Jr., 75, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Lee County to Andy David Coggin Sr. and Eunice Morgan Coggin. He was a lifelong resident of Nettleton. He was a retired employee of Day-Brite Lighting Company Tupelo after 41 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He enjoyed working in the yard, traveling, reading his Bible daily and being with his family.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral home Chapel in Nettleton with the Rev. Bill Payne and the Rev. Thomas Neal officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery near Nettleton.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Jean Capps Coggin of Nettleton; one son, Nickey David Coggin of Nettleton; four sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; a sister, Jessie Coggin Black and husband, James; and a nephew, James Lewis Black Jr.

Pallbearers will be Tony Capps, Glenn Capps, Gary Flurry, Larry Allred, James Seymore and David Sancillo.

Irron White will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will continue from 8:30 a.m. to service time today.
