County Native Is Taken By Death Elizabeth Belle Crawford Cosner, a native of Lawrence county, passed away this morning at 1:45 at the residence of Misses Katie and Lula Hoopingarner, 1312 M street, where she had been making her home since returning to Bedford about five years ago. She had been ill for the past 14 weeks. Born near Leesville on May 5, 1867, Mrs. Cosner was the daughter of John C. and Nancy Weaver Crawford. She was married to William H. Cosner on January 21, 1885 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1945. Mrs. Cosner moved to Bedford in 1878 and was reared here, graduating from Bedford High School in 1884. She was a charter member of the Sorosis Club and was a member of the local Christian Science Society. Survivors include five grandchildren, William Beddoe of San Francisco, Calif., George H. Beddoe of Ashland, Ky., Robert I. Beddoe of Burlington, Vermont, Allen Beddoe of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. William A. Woods of Montreal, Canada; one half-sister, Miss Jennie Williams, Fredonia, Kansas; and 13 great grandchildren. Three children have preceded her in death; Mrs. Willa Cosner Beddoe on November 2, 1945, and Clyde Crawford Cosner and John Gilbert Cosner, both died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 4 p. m. (DST) Tuesday at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Mrs. Rudolph H. Grabow, reader. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
