Visitation will be held between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas.
Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia, Texas.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Orah Bell Mears of Brazoria, Luellen and Clyde Bergen of Angleton, Lavern Burt of Angleton and Patsy and Donald Tompkins of West Columbia; sons and daughters-in-law, Fletcher and Ruby Strother of Silsbee; Everett and Mary Strother of Brazoria; D.W. Strother of Brazoria; William and Laura Strother of West Columbia, and Clifford Strother of West Columbia; brother, J.J. Brisco of Brazoria; 44 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Douglas and Luellen Brisco; husband, Hares Strother; children, Almer and David Strother and Annette Close.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Bergen, Joseph Burt, Rex Mears, Don Strother, John Strother, Rueben Strother, Donald Tompkins and Wayne Strother.
