Bacon's story: My grandmother noticed a stray cat going in and out of her barn on several occasions. One day the cat did not return. When she investigated, she found a dead mother with 3 hungry kittens about four weeks old. She told me on the phone there was two tabby and one grey. I wanted the grey one. My parents were coming for a visit that weekend and I couldn't wait to see her. From the time I opened up her carrier to the time she passed she was the sweetest thing on the face of the earth. Out comes the cutest little girl. Grandma described her as grey....I think more Siamese mix. She had gorgeous blue eyes. She was a bit of a chunk when she arrived. I said she looked like a piglet plus her legs had markings that looked like strips of bacon. I couldn't think of a more fitting name than Bacon. Words can not describe how precious she was...she made me smile every day. I wasn't the only one that saw the beauty in Bacon. She won a years supply of cat food for a photo I submitted. The photo ran on TV and people voted her the cutest. She had climbed up the Christmas tree.

She lived 18 years 7 months 13 days
