---Born November 29, 1932, in Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Emmitt and Helen (Marquith) Roberts. On September 29, 1956, in McHenry, Illinois, he married Marlene Ehrhardt, who survives.
---Other survivors include two daughters, Gay Anna Roberts of McHenry, Illinois, and Sheryl Roberts of Fox Lake, Illinois; one son, Greg and his wife, Denise Roberts of McHenry, Illinois; five grandchildren; three sisters, Arlis Nylan of Hesperia, California, and Joan Gilliland and Twila Thompson and her husband, Don, all of La Plata; one brother, Emmitt Roberts of Johnsburg, Illinois; two stepbrothers; and many nieces and nephews.

Roberts Trucking Company of McHenry, Illinois, for the past few years, retiring in 1993. He had been a resident of McHenry since 1948, and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the VFW Local 4600 of McHenry, and the Round Lake American Legion.
---Funeral services were held on Thursday (March 30, 1995). Interment was at Windridge Cemetery in Cary, Illinois.
