---Gordon L. Roberts, age 62, of McHenry, Illinois, died on Sunday (March 26, 1995) at Milwaukee Veteran's Administration Hospital.
---Born November 29, 1932, in Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Emmitt and Helen (Marquith) Roberts. On September 29, 1956, in McHenry, Illinois, he married Marlene Ehrhardt, who survives.
---Other survivors include two daughters, Gay Anna Roberts of McHenry, Illinois, and Sheryl Roberts of Fox Lake, Illinois; one son, Greg and his wife, Denise Roberts of McHenry, Illinois; five grandchildren; three sisters, Arlis Nylan of Hesperia, California, and Joan Gilliland and Twila Thompson and her husband, Don, all of La Plata; one brother, Emmitt Roberts of Johnsburg, Illinois; two stepbrothers; and many nieces and nephews.
---He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepmother, Ada Roberts; and two stepbrothers.
---Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict, reaching the rank of private first class. He was employed by the Operating Engineers Local 150 of Lakemoor, Illinois, as a heavy equipment operator for more than 35 years and owned M. Roberts Trucking Company of McHenry, Illinois, for the past few years, retiring in 1993. He had been a resident of McHenry since 1948, and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the VFW Local 4600 of McHenry, and the Round Lake American Legion.
---Funeral services were held on Thursday (March 30, 1995). Interment was at Windridge Cemetery in Cary, Illinois.
