Patsy Alterio, 62, of Veterans Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Howard, died at Veterans Hospital Altoona, Monday at 6:40 p.m. He worked for Brachbill's Furniture Store, Bellefonte.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Fifth Army in Italy. He also worked for Baltimore Life Insurance Company.
Mr. Alterio was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Bellefonte, a son of Albert and Mary Sabet Alterio. He is survived by a son, Craig A. Alterio of Howard; two brothers: Richard of Howard RD 3, and William of Bellefonte RD 5; and three sisters: Emaline Kling of Bellefonte RD 5, Sue Keller of Bellefonte and Louise Marino of Renovo.
Mr. Alterio was a member of Howard United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreigh Wars, Bellefonte.
Funeral services will be at the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, Howard, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
