Lester Lee Marshall, 78, of Sanger, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Sanger, Texas. He was born on August 17, 1933 in Sanger to John William and Dona Faye (Reed) Marshall. He was a graduate of Sanger High School. On May 2, 1953, he married Rheba Rippey in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He worked for Bell Helicopter as a senior flight mechanic where he retired in 1994 after 42 years of service. Lester was a member of the Church of Christ in Sanger where he served as an elder of the church. He was a board member of the Bolivar Cemetery Association and also helped to maintain the cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm, Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Sanger followed by a celebration of Lester's life at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary at the Church of Christ in Sanger. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Bolivar Cemetery. John Payne will be the officiate at the services and serving as pallbearers will be grandson, Kyle Waggoner, nephews, Deon Quisenberry, Danny Harris, Jimmy Harris, and Jim Waggoner.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rheba Marshall of Bolivar; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Craig Waggoner; brother, Bill Marshall of Denton; grandchildren, Kyle Marshall Waggoner of Rhome and Katy Lynn Hall and husband Trey of Sanger; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Paige Hall of Sanger; niece, Pam Marshall of Sanger. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leslie Kay Marshall and sister, Betty Lu Marshall.
