Earl Duncan, age 88, of Southaven, MS, passed away to be with the Lord on July 17, 2012. He was born June 6, 1924 in Gibson County, TN. He lived most of his life in Gibson Wells, TN farming before retiring to Southaven, MS. He was retired from Eaton, Inc. in Humboldt, TN.

He was a WWII Veteran serving in the 39th infantry earning a Purple Heart, twice received the Bronze Star with citations, five Battle Stars, medical Combat Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Ophelia Duncan; a sister, Mildred Bass; and two twin brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nannie L. Duncan of Southaven, MS; a daughter Olga Dianne (James) Leeper of Southaven, MS; two granddaughters, Mary E. (Jon) Bonds of Senatobia, MS; Daphlyn Koester of Cordova, TN; two great granddaughters, Sara Elizabeth Waldrip and Hannah Grace Waldrip of Sardis, MS; and two great grandsons Ethan Koester and Michael Koester of Cordova, TN; and his twin sister Pearl Horner of Humboldt, TN. He leaves several nieces and nephews.
