Hi Katie,

Thanks for writing back. I always ask about transfers because some people do want them. We are doing as well as can be expected here. My hubby has cancer and also Alzheimer's so it's very stressful at times, but we muddle through and do the best we can. I hope you and your family are okay, too. Take care and let me know any time I can help you with transfers.

RE: Letha Dee Denham Hamilton Moore
Thank you for the information. I linked Letha and her 2nd husband, John S. Moore.

Did you know that Letha's son, Dale, was married to Letha's 2nd husband's daughter? Dale was married to Anna. She is linked to her father. I requested the links for Dale to his parents and his wife:
https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=109187976
His birth date on his memorial page is incorrect from the other records I found. It should be the 24th. I sent in a correction.

On the 1940 census John is incorrectly transcribed as Joe. It has J. S. Moore on the record. There is a daughter listed, Saran, age 35. I am trying to figure out who she was as she isn't listed in other census records. Do you know any thing about her?
Thanks!!!

I am doing Ellen Manuel's edits for her while she is ill. Thank you for letting me know about the duplicate memorial page. I know the lady and contacted her. :) I do not know why Ellen had Mrs. Moore listed under her 1st husband's last name. Her headstone has her name as Letha Hamilton Moore:
http://www.so-ky.com/cem/barrencem/u/union2/moore-letha.jpg

Do you have any other information on her 2nd husband? You wrote that his name was John S. Moore but Ellen's family file has his middle initial as H. No other information is listed for him.
Thank you

Memorial #140282660
There are two men named Clinton W. Marble.

Clinton Willard Marble (1896-1951) married and divorced Frances Ellen Shanklin. They had a daughter, Shirley Pfeifle (1923-2003) and two sons, Eugene Fay Marble (1928-2008) and Clinton William "Bill" Marble (1926-2002).

Clinton "Bill" Markle married in 1951 and divorced in 1956. They had four children, none of them named Faye. He worked as an electrical lineman in various states. According to his obit he was cremated but it does not mention if the ashes were buried so I made a memorial for him #182100844.

I am working on the Marble family and am confused, hopefully you will be able to help.

On this memorial for Violet there is a note that she was married to Clinton W. Marble and there is a memorial for him on Find A Grave but the dates don't match up.

On my research for Clinton W. Marble, his obituary does not mention Faye Marble Grant as his daughter.

I have contacted the person who created the memorial for Faye and for Clinton but she is not sure if she should unlink Faye from Clinton.

So, I am contacting you to see if you are able to help clear this up.

Thanks,
April

Thanks for letting me know that I had duplicated Halleck's memorial. I'm usually so careful to check before I create a memorial, but I obviously didn't do such a great job this time! I deleted mine.

Elias Bagley and Calvin Gruwell named the town of Windfall (because a recent storm had knocked down a bunch of trees). They built the first home there for Bagley's father

Hi Katie, do you think this is the same Aikens that is listed in the Rossville cemetery? #131598970 There are a lot of similarities in the two. The date on the stone was June 8, 1879 and I changed it to that. Should I delete the obit? I think the birth year could be 1804 instead of 1803. If you want I can transfer him to you and you can work on it at your leisure.

Fellow graver, Richard.

Good job Katie. I had ancestors named Pflueger that lived around West Elwood, Tipton and one who performed piano concerts in Windfall. I used to go with my dad as he drove his pickup around Madison/Hamilton counties selling Moorman Feed. I so wish he was interested in family history. He couldn't figure out why I cared about 'all of that.'

Hi Katie,

I'm sorry it took me a while to transfer James over to you. My hubby has cancer and Alzheimers and we have a lot of medical appointments to go to, and I get behind in my work. Let me know any time I can help you with transfers.

Take care and have a good weekend!

You're right. George and James Crisp were twins, born in 1864. Bill was younger, born in 1866. George is buried in Elko, NV.

RE: Bill Crisp
I think this memorial should be deleted, as it is a duplicate of another that was created earlier. Findagrave won't allow me to delete it, because I am not the original creator of the memorial. You would have to delete it.

I can get the other owner to add family links and bio information.
