RE: Thank you!
I'm so glad they identified Go Changseok. I hope
his family doesn't have to wait long. I also hope that they can identify all the missing so that they can go home to their families.

The Brazil memorial is basically impossible to make because they don't have the city listed. You found the burial record of one and FG wouldn't let me add it because there is no city. And I've already done a lot of research for the project.
I have at least one photo for each of the 242 victims. I wish FG would add cities by request.

Thanks for the Sewol update and for all your help. It's very much appreciated.

RE: Thank you!
Thank you for the info on the people they've found. I'm glad at least Jo Eunhwa's finally come home to her family. Hopefully they find all of the missing.

I've never gotten to talk to anyone else really affected by the Sewol tragedy. My friend in Australia was affected too--we used to talk about it. It also happened at just the right point in my life to resonate, as well. So did MH17.

Not sure how to handle the guy who has the duplicate family members I've added. He's got the tombstone pictures, but only the dates that were on the stones. I wonder if he just photographed the cemetery and put it all on here, like someone did with St. Mary's down the street here.

I've kind of stalled on my Brazil nightclub fire victims. The city of Santa Maria is not listed, so the closest I can get is province. Which is bugging me b/c Santa Maria is a pretty big city. Also actually finding out birthdays and burial locations is really difficult. I do have pictures of them all that I can use. As far as I can see there's no way to get FG to add a city by request.

Thank you for the info and I hope you have a great day!

RE: Thank you!
The big problem with the Brazilian memorials is that FG doesn't list Santa Maria as a city. I hope I can use the info you found, but as close as I can get is Rio Grande del Sol. As for MH370, of course there are no burial records.

I saw an interview with Heo Dawoon's father a long time ago. It stuck with me, tho it was Huh. At one time I wanted to do a memorial for the Sewol victims but I couldn't find enough info. Now that I can see how their names are really spelled... that helps. And I've been researching it all this time. So finding your memorial was very poignant. The pronunciation guide you mentioned could be helpful. I looked up Korean pronunciation at one point.

I love the pictures of Seongho and Jihyun.

In all this time I haven't had anyone to talk to about it all, tho I had 2 hermit crabs back then named Ansan and Danwon.

I watch NHK (a national Hong Kong news show) and they mention the Sewol sometimes. It'a always strange to see it on tv because I've only read about it before.

I'm so glad they've found some remains for the remaining families. Maybe then they'll at least have closure. I've seen all the love that the families put into the grave memorials, as you've shown so many graves.

Thank you for the emails--especially the photos. Most of the family are on my mom's side and I've never met many of them. They were her aunts and uncles.

the MH370 people and the Brazil fire people is that I don't have the burial info. I think it's time the MH370 people get memorials... as you said, they're presumed dead--but there really is no burial info on them, obviously. Or death date, tho I figure it was March 8. (I'm just going to say 2014 for the date). Since they've called off the search for the plane I figure we'll just never know. I collected info and pictures back then, but I have to update my researcha.

I love the new pictures of Seongho and Jihyun. You can see how much they were loved. It was Heo Dayoon who led me to your page. Originally in all the articles I read her last name was given as Huh, but one day I found the alternate spelling. I pray that the remains they found come home to her family so they may have closure. Such wonderful news that they found the almost complete set of remains. Please keep me up to date on the DNA tests because I don't have the resources you have.

Thank you for the gifts to my hermit crabs. I don't have any children so they kind of are my children. I was so happy to see they had flowers. They each had their own personalities. Most people don't believe crabs can have personalities but they do.

The MH 370 people can't still be alive somewhere. It's been too long, and as you say, debris has been found of the plane. I have to find birthdays for a lot of them, so my memorials are fragmentary as it is now. I'm also working on the 2013 Kiss nightclub fire--do you know any way to find the birthdays? It was in Brazil.

I loved the pictuers of Seongho and Jihyun. They are my adopted FG kids now. You've done such wonderful work with all your memorials.
I still haven't finished going thru all of them.

RE: Thank you!
The story of Jihyun and the dream is amazing. It must be so difficult to see the videos like the one Seongho was in. I'm happy to sponsor them because it's a way to help them, even just in a small way. Seongho reminds me of myself at that age.

Now that they've found remains maybe some of the families can find closure. One thing I've seen is how important the graves are, so decorated with love and memories. It would be awful to not have a burial site for the loved ones of the 9 families remaining.

I still need to do the bios for MH370. I don't know if it will ever be public. But I'm doing it anyway. A few pieces of the plane have been found but the passengers and crew are still considered missing, rather than deceased. So I'm not sure I could make the virtual cemetery public...

It would be so wonderful to have the records on my family members from Ancestry. So thanks so much for any info you can find. I used to have it but I can't afford it. I loved doing the research too.

RE: Thank you!
Ancestry would be a big help. I don't have burial info on most of my family. So I definitely appreciate your offer. The graves I've been to I took pictures of, but since they're mostly IN and IL I can't get pictures of any more of them.

I hope they find the missing 9 Sewol Ferry people. I've been praying for their families for years now... time goes so fast. They didn't just die in an accident--they were murdered. I'm glad your memorial makes that clear, b/c it's the truth. They didn't have to die. Once I read through them all I think I'm going to pick a few people's memorials to sponsor.

I finished my MH370 virtual cemetery but I'm not sure it should be public--there's no proof that they're dead, really... and their families, in a lot of cases, are still clinging to hope. But if you want to leave them flowers, it's done.

Thank you again for your wonderful Sewol memorials. When I read them and see the pics, I get a sense of each of them.

You are welcome. Was trying to survey the cemetery with pictures for decoration, and was not able to find her stone. With the bio you had added it helped me find the area to where she was buried. It takes team work sometimes. It would be easier if there where not so many cemeteries with the same name. Best Wishes

Thank you so much for sponsoring this memorial. She's a beautiful child, my grandmother's little sister. My mom was named after her. And it means a lot to me that she's being remembered. ~ Carrie

RE: Thank you!
I tried to find news stories on the kids back when it happened, and I am so happy I found your memorial. I've had the 9 missing kids on my mind too. I read about Namm Hyuncheol back when it happened, and I read an interview with Heo Dayoon's father also; they both turned out to never be found. It's so sad to hear about the families who have been left waiting, and I pray for them, so that their children come home to them. You've made a wonderful memorial to them--I get a sense of each one's personality as I read. To me they aren't just "victims"--they're individuals. My friend in Australia was the one who told me about the Sewol and I know he thinks about it too. It's a tragedy that needen't have happened, as you've said. Thank you also for the info on Cyril Gassensmith. Hope you're having a great day. ~ Carrie

That tragedy has really sort of stuck with me. Eo Slava looks like a great kid--I think they all were. I've been thinking of them a lot lately b/c they raised the ship. Thank you so much for making them such a wonderful tribute on here. I'm reading them all. Your memorial is beautiful and honors them the way that they should be... Peace ~ Carrie

Hi Zina!
Thank you for your kind message.
Yes, Yuusuf was a wonderful little cute boy, it was a terrible tragedy, losing a child is every parent's nightmare, and it is almost impossible to imagine the pain his parents and brother must learn to live with.
I promise you that Yuusuf will forever be on my page, he will never be forgotten.
Thanks for everything, my friend, you have a heart of gold.
Have a wonderful weekend, your friend Isabelle
