I have been doing genealogy for many many years and really like findagrave.com. I used to do just my own family but now do cemeteries where ever we go. If someone sees anything that is wrong or if you have anything to offer please contact me as I would be glad to help.|
TRANSFERS REQUESTS and other messages left on my MESSAGE PAGE (Below), will generally be ignored. Please use the edit tab to send me messages about memorials.
Please request edits, corrections & transfers by clicking the "EDIT" tab on the memorial page, select the category of your edit and submit. For bios, and transfers use "suggest other corrections," please include your findagrave contributor # for transfers.
Find-A-Grave guidelines for transfer requests are for direct relatives (spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents). If you are requesting a transfer, please be specific about your relationship. I generally will not transfer aunts, uncles or cousins. I am not willing to transfer my family members, but I will be happy to add information to their memorials.
I will no longer transfer memorials to someone asking for all memorials of a surname to be transferred to them.
There are lots of new members requesting transfers who are managing many more memorials than they have posted. Please keep in mind that this web site won't work if you aren't willing to go out and gather information that might help someone else!

Im finding it fascinating to read a bit about everyones life and how they connect. I guess I feel everyone has a story and a purpose. Thank YOU for being so great to work with. Some people arent nice at all.

Jim, I would be remiss if I did not thank you for all the hard work you have put into the memorials for the Hume family. You have gone above and beyond what is usually found on this site and you should be commended for adding meaningful information and photos to this site. Thanks!
|Rosie||Shawn Patrick Coyle|
I just noticed you added a marker photo for Shawn. Thank you so much. The memorial is so much richer with a photo...

Thanks, Jim, for catching the mistake. Sometimes it's just a tough day- but glad someone pays attention. Of course it was not intentional. Thanks again!

The closest we got to where you are, is the wife and I lived in Moscow in 1976 and got transferred out to Beaver Falls, PA.

A couple days after my father died, I greated a Find-A-Grave memorial for him. I'm guessing you must have done the same. It seems the two memorials were merged into one as the pictures I posted on mine are now on yours and mine no longer exists. That said, would you be so kind as to transfer the memorial to me? If so, a heartfelt thank you.
|Paul Grande||Louis & Inga Grande|
Jim, thank you for transferring Louis & Inga's memorials at Pony Lake Cemetery over to me.

I just posted a large obit on Miss Charity's page - you might want to go to the site and re-arrange her site so that her picture remains on top

I'm researching the family of John Willis and his wife Flora. Their son Elmer is the great-grandfather of a good friend mine and I'm helping her with her research. I found the family, with all the correct siblings as y were being added over the years on the 1880, 1885, 1900, 1905, 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 Censuses. Mary, James, William, Flora, Elizabeth, John, Angus, Leo and Elmer on the Census records. So I KNOW it's the correct family. The kids were all still living together even in their 40's-50's, on the same street, after their parents passed away.
All the records, including John Sr's WWI draft card, say that he was born in Canada, except for one-- the 1910 Census. He was already dead at the time, but on his children's entries, when it asks in column 13 where their father was born, it says Vermont. I can't explain why every other document says Canada-- but even the 1880 census says he was from Canada.
Can you tell me where the birth information on his FindAGrave memorial came from? The birth year is same given on the 1900 Census-- but the memorial says he was born in Meridan, New Hampshire.
