THERE IS A HEAVENLY GARDEN, by Otis Rainwater

Sometimes God picks the flower
That is still in bloom
Sometimes the rosebud's chosen
That we feel He's picked too soon
Sometimes the flower is fading
With petals floating down
But God knows the perfect time
To gather flowers from the ground
There is a heavenly garden
In which God takes great pleasure
Because He's placed within it
The loved ones that we treasure
He walks among the blossoms
Giving them eternal rest
And I know that it must please him
Because He chose our very best.

Used by permission. The perfect time for Otis to pass from this life came November 4, 2010.

Dear Wayne,

Thank you so much for finding and photographing the Richardsons' graves! I had given up on ever finding them! I have been working on a family tree for a friend here in New Mexico. I so appreciate your work!

Olympia and Andrew Spears
What a pleasant surprise. It was just about a year ago that I found out my gg grandmother, Nancy Walton Scott, had an older sister, Olympia. Thank you for creating this memorial and Find-A-Grave
as well. Thank you for taking the time to transcribe and creating their memorials. I saw the need to get rid of those ads but totally surprised to see transfers. I am honored and promise you they will be in great care.
Thank you for this kind gesture, Wayne.

Smith
By the way, I did a quick look at your Smith line through this website and found the page on Gaines Smith fascinating and with those photos. You're lucky to have this. My grandmother was a Smith and I am still stumped at her grandparents (from Georgia). Of course, Smith is such a very common surname but I still look at others just in case.

RE: Emory City cemetery
Hi Mr Wayne: First of all thank you for all you do on Find A Grave! You are awesome! I don't recall anyone by the name of Otis Rainwater. I do remember an Aunt Viola but it is way back there and hard for me to really remember much about her. I know she was married to WJ Northcutt, and I don't remember him at all, at least not by that name. Ms Viola is buried at the Emory City Cemetery and Mr WJ is buried at Smyrna. I will ask some of my Aunts and Uncles and see if they remember anyone named Rainwater. Thank you again, for all of you hard work.
