*** Note to those looking for headstones in Denton County, Wise County, and some of Tarrant - I will be glad to take some photos when it gets cooler outside. It's just way too hot to go out looking right now.

Hello! I am Aprille originally from Arlington, Texas. I currently live in Roanoke, TX. Mom to three kids and now an empty nester as my youngest headed to college last fall. I'm a Texas Tech Red Raider. My other hobbies are audiobooks, birdwatching, travel, and photography.

So far my family lines go back to:
Dr. Benjamin Franklin
Samuel Washington (brother of George)
John Rolfe
Bartholomew Stovall - "The Immigrant"
Adelaide of Aquitaine

My husband started doing genealogy research to apply for Sons of the Republic of Texas. I walked a few cemeteries with him. I got on my dad's Ancestry account one day - and I was hooked. We belong to the Denton County Genealogical Society. My husband's gggreat grandfather Greenleaf Fisk is the "Father of Brownwood, Texas" and donated the land for the large Greenleaf Cemetery there.

After the Civil War many of my ancestors migrated from Patrick County, Virginia to North Texas. The other side of my family migrated to Cass County in far East Texas. There is a lot of our family history here in Texas in many places. I am still searching to find any relatives that lived here while Texas was still a Republic.

I'm glad to be here. Introduce yourself. Hit follow and I'll follow you back.
