My dad and his siblings made numerous trips to Missouri and gathered information on their family roots. After his death I pulled out the box containing notes, letters, photos, and a gold mine of information. My uncle sent his collection to help me in my search. Then I began organizing the facts and searching the internet. Some families went together very quickly. However, others were more difficult. I would get a hint here and there. For the Rill family I was fortunate to have information that Teresa Ortwein Vermule, Conrad Rill's granddaughter, had written down. Names, dates, and little facts made it easy to complete that part of my tree. All of the search has been an enjoyable adventure. It connected me with relatives that supplied precious information that they willingly shared. Most of my research has centered around the Missouri counties of Lawrence, Christian, Greene, Barry, and others in that area. My basic connections in southwest Missouri would be Rill, Cupp, Keithley, King, Newman, and Johnson. My connections in Virginia are the Fralin and Morgan families and in Michigan the Pannecouk and Rill families. Enjoy your search, and I hope the connections made here will help you.
