ANNISTON, Ala. - Mr. Joe L. Ferrell, 60, of Anniston, formerly of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev.Wayne Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife, Cathy A. Ferrell of Anniston; two daughters, Tina D (Jose) Trejo of Villa Rica, Ga., and Laura M. (Mark) Serrano of Anniston; two sons, Joseph D. (Crystal) Ferrell of LaFayette and William M. (Sandra) Griffin of Lake City Fla.; two sisters, Eula M. (Howard) Flora of Ft.Walton Beach, Fla., and his twin sister, Joyce L. (Larry) West of Winston, Ga.; two brothers, R. Olin (Ellen) Ferrell of Roanoke and W. Jasper (Betty) Ferrell of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren, Christopher Serrano, Micaela Serrano, Erica Farmer, Mercedes Trejo, Billy Griffin, Luke Griffin, Sarah Griffin, Sydney Griffin, Allison Ferrell, Logan Carroll and Danelle Carroll.

Born Feb. 8, 1946, Mr. Ferrell was the son of the late William Rudy and Nassie Geneva Huddleson Ferrell. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Oxford and had been employed at the Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Ferrell was previously employed at Traylor's Retirement Center. He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by one brother, Casper R. Ferrell.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society's Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, Ala. 35205.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home in Roanoke Friday, Jan. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
