Mr. Farnsworth was born in Canada, coming to the United States when around 14 years of age. He had been a resident of Newark for the past 60 years.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. James Nutter, Irvington, New Jersey, Mrs. Lavern Kelly, Newark; two sons, Fred Farnsworth, Stepney, Connecticut, and Marvin Farnsworth, Newark, four grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. Edward Austin of Newark.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Stuerwald Funeral Home, Rev. Theodore Meyer, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial was made in the East Newark Cemetery."
