On July 19, 1897, she married William Brown Maynard in Gibson County, Tennessee. After their marriage, they moved to Missouri, where we find them living in the 1900 census in Ripley County. Their first son, William Carlos Maynard, was born there. Afterwards, they relocated to Oklahoma where Plinia gave birth to her second son, Roy Andrew Maynard.
Plinia died in 1908 of tuberculosis. She was interred at Shiloh Cemetery near Bradford, Tennessee.
