There is a misunderstanding about the spelling of this family's name generally. While Betsy's husband Stephen's father spelled his name Condict, from Stephen's generation down to my own generation of Condits, the spelling has been consistently Condit, not Condict. I have checked tombstones and wills and family records. I have already corrected Betsy's husband Stephen's record in Findagrave as it was my own creation. Betsy's maiden name was Elizabeth Harrison.
