Robert Lee McNeely, Sr. age 73 of 50 Mason Court, Martinsville, died Wednesday Nov. 7, 2012 at Forsythe Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was born July 15, 1939 in Henry County to the late George Lester and Lena Mae Motley McNeely. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by three brothers, Glenwood, William, and Walter McNeely, three sisters, Louise Harmon, Violet McNeely, and Shirley Weddle.
He retired as a truck driver for Pannill Knitting and, Sara Lee, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son Robert Lee McNeely, Jr. of Martinsville, two daughters, Denise Williams and Reba Ann McNeely, both of Martinsville, one brother, Billy McNeely of Martinsville, three sisters, Betty Reynolds and Roslyn Ashby, both of Martinsville, and Aileen Eanes of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
His graveside service will be Friday Nov. 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, 112 Mason Court, Martinsville, VA 24112.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce Street, Martinsville, VA 24112.
