Winfield Woman Passes After Long Illness
Mrs. Elmer Cranston, 49, died at Newton Memorial Hospital at 9:30pm Monday after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Cranston entered the hospital for treatment March 14 and since that time has been critically ill, delirious most of the time. The Cranston home is at 405 Gilruth, Winfield.
Mr. Cranston died early this spring as the result of infection following burns by steel. He was a patient at the hospital during the early part of his wife's illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday, time and place not yet announced.

Gravesite Details
Family members have placed a memorial stone in the Tisdale Cemetery in Cowley County, Kansas for Alta Cranston but she is actually buried beside her parents in the Byron-Amorita Cemetery. See #100196159.
