MRS. LUCINDA BURDETTE.
Mrs. Lucinda Burdette, aged 82 years, widow of the late Robert Burdette, Sr., died at her home on Clear Creek near Raywick, early Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Burdette had been a sufferer from cancer for several months and her death while not unexpected came as a great shock to her family and friends. She had been a consistent member of the Methodist church for a number of years and was a most excellent christian woman. Her husband, who was one of the best known farmers of the Raywick section, preceded her to the grave six weeks ago. She is survived by five sons, Obed Burdette, of Sherman, Texas, and Willis, John, Dee and Robert Burdette, Jr., of this county, and three daughters, Mrs. James Harmon and Misses Essie and Lou Burdette, of this county; also two brothers, W. D. and H. F. Miller, of this county, and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Abell, of Perth, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Miller, of this county.
Funeral services were held yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the Methodist church at Raywick, conducted by Rev. J. C. Hoskinson, of this city. The interment took place in the cemetery there.
Many friends extend to the bereaved family heartfelt sympathy.
