Wilhelmina Teresa Montgomery, 93, passed away at Mitchell-Hollingsworth on Friday, March 30, 2007.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007, at Elkins Funeral Home chapel. Brother James Atkinson and the Rev. E.M. Shell will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her daughter, Flora Gehrig and husband, Louis, of Melbourne, Fla.; son, William Montgomery and wife Pat, of Youngsville, N.C.; son, Fred Montgomery and wife, Myra, of Cadiz, Ky.; daughter, Judy Haddock and husband, James, of Florence, Ala.; daughter, Patricia Hagan of Lancaster, Ky.; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, William Niles Montgomery; son, Allen Douglas Montgomery; and infant granddaughter, Amy Montgomery.
She was a member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church. Wilhelmina was an RSV with Home Extension, a volunteer for both Senior Community Center and Cloverdale Elementary School. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
