Phyllis Simmons Steele, age 61, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away at her home on December 8, 2004 following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Raven, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Claudie and Clara Newberry Simmons both former Cedar Bluff residents. Phyllis was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1962 and was an employee of the Virginia Workforce located at Claypool Hill, Virginia and a life long resident of the Tazewell County area. She was a member of the Raven Assembly of God Church located in Raven, Virginia.

Funeral services for Phyllis Simmons Steele are Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 1:00 pm, at the Raven Assembly of God Church in Raven, Virginia with the Rev. Max Linkous, Rev Barry Absher and Rev. Joe Copolo officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memorial Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
