He was born January 27, 1923, in Cook County to Arthur Easley and Maggie Marie Switzer.
He married Iva Jewell Fletcher, December 20, 1941, in Coleman County, Texas. He worked for West Texas Concrete and later was vehicle maintenance foreman for Ector County, retiring in 1978 after sixteen and a half years.
He is preceded in death by his children, Shirley Ann Switzer, Ricky Lynn Switzer and Jerry Don Switzer; his parents; and two sisters; and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Switzer of Odessa; son, Robert Wayne Switzer of Odessa; daughter, Pat Vogt and husband, Clarence of Odessa; brothers, Edmond Switzer of Alvin, Ray Switzer of Bangs, and Otis Switzer of Santa Fe, Texas; sisters, Ida Lee Jackson of San Antonio, Nell Yancy of Santa Fe, Texas, and Jane Lovelady of Spicewood seven grandchildren; six great-grand-­children; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Burial will be held at 11 am, Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Santa Anna Cemetery in Santa Anna, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
